No, You will need to arrive into your departure city at least the day before your tour is scheduled to depart. Due to the early start of tours, you cannot arrive the same day your tour is set to depart.

This tour is designed to help you see as much of Tasmania as possible with like-minded travellers. There is no maximum age provided - you just have to have a good sense of adventure and a reasonable level of fitness, however, there is a minimum age of 8 years old to ensure all passengers get the most from the tour!
How much luggage can I bring?

You may bring a backpack or suitcase up to 20kg that will be stored securely in our trailer during the day and unloaded each evening. We recommend bringing a smaller day pack to store your daily essentials such as drinks, jackets, and sunscreen while on tour.

Bring clothing that suits the season, while including warm clothes (it can get cold in the mountains), comfortable walking shoes, toiletries, a towel, a hat, sunscreen, waterproof jacket, swimsuit, water bottle and camera. Luggage is restricted to one normal pack, bag or case (20kg) plus a small day pack.

Your guides aim to offer walks that cater for all types of fitness with easy, medium and hard walking options.
The hiking in Tasmania is world-class. Some walks are guided, while others are unguided (free walking)
In many locations there is a choice between an easier or more advanced option. Essentially, you can make this as active or as easy as you like; all walks are optional and range from 20 minutes up to 4 hours

Yes. Masks are advocated by the World Health Organisation as a physical barrier to help prevent community transmission. Wearing a mask while travelling on aircraft or where physical distancing is not possible may help protect against potential spread. The supplier will be guided by our local public health authorities as to whether masks should always be worn. Please bring your own masks on tour, and learn how to safely wear, wash, and dispose of masks prior to coming on tour.

Prior to travel, it is essential that you let the supplier know if you experience any symptoms of COVID-19, have been in isolation, or are known to have been in contact with someone that is suspected or has had COVID-19. Further, upon pick-up of all guests at the beginning of tour, the supplier will ask each guest to complete a short health survey. At that time, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, we will assist you to seek medical advice immediately. You will not be permitted to join the tour until cleared by a medical professional.

No. All tours are self-catering in nature; there are plenty of food-stops where you can purchase from restaurants, cafes, take-aways or even supermarkets should you wish to use the hostel’s kitchen facilities. Some tours include samplings of local foods as per the itinerary.

A range of accommodation options are available to suit your budget!
Comfort Plus Single, Double/Twin*: This is the highest level of accommodation offered for those seeking maximum comfort. Twin/double or single rooms are available. These book out quickly so secure your booking early if this is your preference.
Motel Single, Double/Twin*: Private room with private ensuite bathroom.
Dormitory: Single-gender rooms of between 4-8 beds with shared bathroom facilities. Double/Twin* or Single hostel rooms may also be booked – these are basic private rooms with shared bathroom facilities.
*Twin/Double – Please note that if solo travellers wish to book a private room, they will need to select a hostel, motel, or comfort plus single room, as the operator does not pair solo travellers in twin or double room options.

This tour has a maximum group size of 24 passengers plus the tour guide. These small group sizes allow you plenty of time to get to know your fellow passengers and guide.
Tours are conducted in modern, comfortable air-conditioned buses. By having small groups it means you can spend as much time as possible outside the bus exploring the wonderful sights of Tasmania.
